What is “WAFP”?
“WAFP” stands for the Women’s Association of Financial Planners, which is known and acting as a professional financial planners’ group under its nickname WAFP.
WAFP KYUSHU started as Kyushu division of the Women’s FP Club, one of the oldest nation-wide networks in Financial Planning industry, which was founded in 1993 in Tokyo and goes down in the history of financial planning. Later, the Club was split into five branches of Kansai, Tokai, Hokuriku, Chugoku, and Kyushu, forming a loose federation since July 2000, each of which adopts self-supporting accounting system and has been successfully operating up to now. Today, WAFP is no longer exclusively for women. However, the name of our club would remain the same because “WAFP” sounds so sweet.
WAFP KYUSHU is a sophisticated professional non-regulatory organization not wishing for a representative commercial success that furnishes professional services within the area of personal financial planning so that the public has access to and benefits from competent financial planning, through promoting the mutual friendship, or by enhancing capacity of competent financial planning services, to make a Life Planning presentation and provide you with various useful information concerning economics and finance-related topics.
In furtherance of the foregoing purposes, our study group meets on a regular basis (once a month or once every two months) to share our knowledge regarding personal financial planning. Since 1999, we have been participating in many local events, amongst others, “Fukuoka City Women’s Center Amicus/Women’s Festival”, in connection with projects, including seminars, free consultations and the like.
WAFP is composed of:
Hiromi Morita, President, Hiroko Narahara, Director General, and Yuko Komine, Tomoe Nakano, Sumiko Hirakawa and Miki Yamada (“Leaders”), and other persons professionally involved in law, accounting, insurance or otherwise, who have been properly certified by JAFP as CFPR or AFPR and are perfectly qualified to provide financial advice.
